Getting Started
To apply Cordlash heavy duty lashing for dynamic freight, start by feeding the lashing through the attachment points of the flat rack and cargo.
Take a Dynablock buckle into your left hand. Feed the heavy duty lashing (furthest away) through the center of the buckle (upwards) and away from you. Fold the lashing over and under the buckle and feed lashing through the upper small opening of the buckle (upwards) and back through the center of the buckle (downwards).
Feed the bottom lashing (attached to coil) through the center of the buckle (upwards) towards you. Fold the lashing over and under the buckle and feed the lashing through the bottom small opening of the buckle (upwards) and back through the center of the buckle (downwards). Pull the lashing hand tight
Place the pneumatic tensioner onto the bottom lashing. Push the top handle to release the gripper foot of the tensioner and place the bottom lashing underneath the gripper foot. Place the end of the bottom lashing (the coil) through the knife assembly and winger.
Rotate the handle on the grip on the tensioner handle to the left and the pneumatic tool will start tensioning. When you have reached optimum tension, rotate the handle on the grip on the tensioner handle back to the right. Push the top handle to cut the lashing.
This video shows how Cordlash is tensioned with a pneumatic tensioner. You can also use a manual tensioner. Our video How to Apply Cordlash one way Lashing for Dynamic Freight and Sea Freight demonstrates the application with a manual tensioner.
When to Use Cordstrap’s Heavy Duty Lashing for Dynamic Cargo?
For dynamic cargo, or static cargo that behaves dynamically, Cordstrap offers a single solution for all shipping needs. This heavy duty lashing is frequently used to secure any cargo on flat racks, sea freight and project cargo. Conventional straps and chains often loosen in transit due to vibration. Cordstrap’s latest buckle technology prevents that Cordlash Heavy Duty Lashing slips in the buckle. This special buckle, Dynablock, which was invented and patented by Cordstrap, offers the highest degree of strength and security available in the polyester lashing industry. Available in a variety of sizes and strengths (depending on the type of Cordlash used), Dynablock buckles are fast and easy to apply.
With Cordlash one-way heavy duty lashing systems you only use the length of lashing needed. This makes our one-way lashing application cheaper and easier to apply than ratchet straps and steel chains. Much lighter in weight than chains and freedom to position the tensioning tool allows for a fast and easy application.
Cordlash Woven Lashing is available in a wide variety of independently certified system strengths, ranging from 3,000kg up to 20 tons.
