Dunnage Bags
Superior Dunnage Bags; – Standard, Custom, Square and Triangular Dunnage Bags
Our high-performance dunnage bags are engineered to secure and stabilise cargo across all transport modes — containers, closed rail cars, trucks, and ships. Available in a wide range of sizes and shapes (including triangular options), they effectively eliminate both lateral and longitudinal movement, keeping your cargo exactly where it should be throughout transit.
A Smarter Alternative to Timber and Foam
Cargo Restraint Systems’ dunnage bags deliver superior load stabilisation compared to traditional timber blocking, bracing, or Styrofoam. Unlike these methods, which are costly, labour-intensive, and time-consuming, dunnage bags are quick to install, easy to remove, and significantly reduce overall shipping costs.
The Right Bag for Every Load
Choosing the correct dunnage bag depends on factors such as void size, cargo height, weight, and specific transport requirements. Our comprehensive range ensures the right solution for virtually every application — improving safety, efficiency, and peace of mind.

Six levels of Dunnage Bags
Dunnage bags are available in 6 performance levels which have been established by the AAR (Association of American Railroads):
- Level zero, one and two are mainly used in a container to fill empty spaces between pieces of cargo
- Levels three, four and five are used to secure particularly heavy cargo like paper coils
We can provide all levels of dunnage air bags. It is our pleasure to advise you on the correct level of dunnage bag for your type of cargo and application.

Ease of cargo securing
Easy to access valve
Our extensive experience in cargo-securing has resulted in an optimal valve positioning: on the edge of the bag. This ensures easy access to the valve at all times: when the container door opens the valve is directly facing the user.
Fast inflation
The Cordstrap Direct Connect inflator needs only 14 seconds to fully inflate a 90x120cm Direct Connect woven dunnage bag with air. A huge time saver when securing a container!
Environmentally friendly
The outer layer of our dunnage bags is made of polypropylene tubular woven fabric. The liner bag is made of polyethylene extruded film.
The bags are easily and safely removed at the end of their journey. They are fully recyclable, and re-usable.
Dunnage Bag Inflator Tools – Portable & Standard Airguns
Portable Battery Operated Airguns
A battery-powered airgun makes inflating dunnage bags much easier and safer than using a standard airgun that needs a compressor. It gives you strong airflow without dragging around a compressor, hoses, or power leads.
On a single charge, the airgun can inflate dozens of dunnage bags, so it easily keeps up with busy loading jobs. It’s lightweight and comfortable to hold, which means less strain on your arms and shoulders during long shifts.
A battery-powered airgun works with all common dunnage bag types and sizes and gives reliable, consistent inflation every time. Because it’s portable, you can use it across different loading areas or sites — even in tight spaces where a compressor setup just wouldn’t fit.
We offer 2 types of portable airguns; DeWalt and Max Pro Air.
Standard Airgun
Standard airguns connect to a fixed compressed air supply. These airguns provide consistent airflow with no need for batteries.
Low-cost, simple, durable, and easy to maintain, standard airguns are a great choice, offering reliable performance, continuous use, and straightforward operation.
