Our mission & passion
Our mission is to keep your cargo safe during the toughest conditions, whether your cargo travels by road, rail, sea or air. We enjoy a good challenge and no matter the complexity we provide the solutions you require.
We do this with Cordstrap strapping, lashing and dunnage systems. Since 1965, Cordstrap has been the undisputed global leader in cargo securing systems. Their products are the highest quality in the world and we are proud to be their exclusive partner in Australia.

Our managing director
In 2015 Cargo Restraint Systems Pty Ltd was founded by Andre van Hoornaar. Andre started his career in 1998 as a Lashing Project Manager at Cordstrap’s global HQ in The Netherlands. In 2002 he established Cordstrap USA, which was followed by Cordstrap China in 2009. In 2012 Andre further expanded Cordstrap’s presence in South East Asia.
During his 20+ years in this industry, Andre has assisted the world’s largest corporations in a wide variety of industries, providing these companies with bespoke solutions to safely secure their products. From a simple pallet strapping solution, to the securing of windmills on board of vessels.
Just like the rest of his team Down Under, Andre meets with our customers to provide them with genuine solutions to safely secure their cargo.
Andre was born in Newcastle NSW and moved with his parents to the Netherlands at a young age. His dad was a dredging engineer and assisted Australia with the dredging of the ports of Newcastle, Botany, Freemantle and Dampier. Listening to his parents’ stories about Australia made him determined at a young age to someday return and establish his own business.
